Nice experience, even in the rain and fog!  I was there on my son's fifth grade field trip.  We had a buffet lunch while on the boat. The food was really good and there was plenty of it. There was fried catfish, jambalaya, baked chicken, red beans and rice, sausage, salad and bread pudding. Servers, as well as all employees aboard, were friendly.  The bathrooms were nice and clean. The boat is beautiful.  There was live jazz music while we were eating. When the music was no longer playing, the captain was giving lots and lots of facts about the boat, New Orleans and Louisiana.  I found all of it interesting and educational.  I would love to visit again soon.

This was such a fun activity! It is about an hour and a half and it is very relaxing! You even can go into the engine room. There are snacks (hot dogs, chips, nachos etc.) on the boat if you don't pay for dinner or lunch. You get to see some really pretty views of the city.

Loved this!  You are riding on one of the last remaining steamboats.  It is a piece of history.  We arrived early & sat on the top deck for a great view of the city.  It's a great family activity!  The narrator has great information.  We didn't eat lunch, although you can opt for that.  So fun!!
